Backcountry
The mountains don’t define who belongs.
The world’s first Deaf avalanche instructor.
The backcountry brings communication and decision-making into sharp focus. Conditions change. People bring different experience. Every group needs a way to share observations and make decisions together.
As a Deaf avalanche instructor and backcountry guide, I bring language access into that work through the way I teach and communicate.
Education and guiding
My work includes avalanche education and guiding with Colorado Adventure Guides. I connect instruction with field experience and facilitate communication and decision-making in the backcountry.
